A Quick Guide to Gin Cocktails

Gin lovers, assemble! This is your ultimate guide to the best gin cocktails.

Right now, it’s all about that gin. If you want to light up your cocktail party with more than a gin and tonic, then you’re in the right place, because we’ve got a whole host of delicious tipples featuring your number one spirit.

Why gin?

There’s been a bit of a gin renaissance lately, and there are craft gin companies popping up all over the place. Our gin is locally distilled in Somerset, before our flavourist experiments with exciting new recipes, ready to make their way to your cocktail party. Gin’s versatility makes it an ideal cocktail spirit, and you can add a huge range of delicious flavours – whether it’s the cherry and violet in an Aviation or the Mexican lime in a pre-mixed Gimlet.

The perfect serve

If you’re planning a gin cocktail party (and if you’re not, we reckon you should!), save yourself plenty of time for socialising and let us do the hard work. All our pre-mixed gin cocktails are ready to serve, but if you want your party to go from amazing to stunning, just grab yourself a little ice, a few garnishes, and some cocktail glasses. You’ll need tumblers and martini glasses to serve, plus a few pieces of fruit. You’re ready to go!

The best gin cocktails

Let’s get down to business. Here’s a rundown of our favourite pre-mixed gin cocktails, plus top serving tips.

Bramble

The perfect pick for a very British garden party. We’re talking generous helpings of locally-distilled gin, shaken up with blackberry and raspberry. Pour into a tumbler filled with crushed ice, then add a lemon slice and blackberry. If you want more, more, more, add a splash of champagne to make a bramble royale.

Aviation

Welcome aboard your flight to sugary, floral flavours with a hint of violet sweets from childhood birthday parties. A classic mix of cherry, violet, and high-quality gin. Shake your Aviation with ice and double strain into a martini glass, before garnishing with a maraschino cherry. To really impress your guests, swap the cherry for a flamed lemon peel.

English Garden

Gather your friends and kick back with this ready-to-drink cocktail, packed with sharp and sweet tastes of apple and elderflower, cooling cucumber, zesty citrus, and a minty note. Pour into a tall glass filled with crushed ice, then pop in a cucumber ribbon. Top up with a little prosecco if you want some bubbles.

Rhubarb Gin

In the mood for something sweet and fruity? Step aside custard, because this rhubarb is destined for a ready-to-pour cocktail, mixed up with locally-distilled gin and Sicilian lemon juice. Serve on the rocks in a tumbler, stir, then garnish with fresh raspberries. Celebrating? Add a splash of prosecco for some fizz.

Gimlet

The Roaring Twenties are back, and they brought a Gimlet. Pull up a seat next to Gatsby, and party with this jazzy duo of gin and Mexican lime. It’s sweet, refreshing, and zinging with citrus. Shake with ice and double strain your Gimlet into a martini glass, before garnishing with a wheel of lime. If you’re feeling fancy, add a sprig of rosemary for a herbal note.

Negroni

This Italian aperitif does not have time for fruit juice. Savour the sharp, botanical flavours of Campari, vermouth, and locally-distilled gin. It’s bitter, it’s strong, it’s a classic. Serve on the rocks in a tumbler, then stir. Top it all off with a slice of orange, and for extra cocktail party hosting points, add a 25ml shot of mezcal to make it smoky.
