Mixing up your classic cocktails with unique ingredients

Hey guys!

I hope you're all doing well and enjoying the summer season. I know I am! And what's better than sipping on a delicious cocktail in the sun? Not much, right?!

But let's be honest, sometimes it can get a little boring sticking to the same old classics like a Margarita or a Cosmopolitan. So, I thought I'd share some of my favourite ways to mix up classic cocktails with unique ingredients.

First up, we have the Old Fashioned. This classic whiskey-based cocktail is a staple in any cocktail lover's repertoire. But, why not switch things up by adding a touch of maple syrup instead of sugar? The maple syrup adds a rich and warm sweetness that pairs perfectly with the whiskey. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Next, we have the Martini. This classic gin-based cocktail is a favourite of mine, but sometimes it can be a little too dry for my taste. A great way to change that is by adding a splash of Elderflower liqueur. It adds a subtle floral sweetness that takes the edge off the dryness and gives the Martini a whole new flavour profile.

And last but not least, we have the Margarita. This classic tequila-based cocktail is a summer favourite, but why not switch things up by adding a touch of Jalapeño? It adds a nice kick of heat that complements the lime and tequila perfectly. Trust me, it's a game-changer.

So, the next time you're whipping up a cocktail, don't be afraid to experiment with different ingredients. You might just discover your new favourite cocktail!

Cheers,

Davina.

P.S. Remember to always drink responsibly and have a designated driver or take a cab if you're planning on having more than one.
